A Standalone Soul!

[Fifth now, This is quite self explanatory I suppose. But nevertheless, its's a process from 'love at first sight' to 'suffering after the break-up'. Enjoy!]

First gaze, loved and enthralled,

Drowning into her love,

Lost my commonplace, I was on a roll;

I forgot that I had,

A standalone soul!

Overwhelming, anxious and insatiable daydreams,

Tempting tryst, engrossed in chats,

Together hand-in-hand, cruised into an eternal stroll;

Now it was not,

A standalone soul!

Expectations at faith’s threshold,

Visible cracks on a crystal trust,

Hollow love, devil mind taking a toll;

It began to show,

A standalone soul!

Cursing self, nevertheless,

No place to beg and plead,

The short-lived saga written on a scroll;

Bleeding the pain out, it cries,

A standalone soul!

Learnt from the blunders,

Lessons no one could have ever taught,

Nobody shall have it now, not partly, not as a whole;

Roaming in solitude now,

A standalone soul!
